Frismobile!!!!
This is an RC car that I made for my final project in physical computing that has an acrylic casing with pictures of the guys from our schools ultimate frisbee team on it. This project was very fun to make and really simple to code, though there were mmany difficulties with the sizing and power to the final product.
I bought a kit online that allowed me to build the base of it so I built the base by attaching the servo motors and wheels. I then attached a breadboard on top and added a lasercut piece of acrylic to hold the arduino and battery.
I quickly found out that the platform that I was given with the kit was not going to be big enough as the 9V battery was not powerful enough to power all of the motors. I had to figure out a way to make the platform bigger while making everything fit so I laser cut a box out of acrylic and slid the power source underneath.
I made the box with holes so that I could feed the wires through to be able to wire everything. I then made a box out of wood and screwed the joysticks to the box and used the soldering iron and heat shrink to attach wires to the joysticks that I could run to the breadboard.
I then coded the joysticks and had my final product and this project is just for fun and something to do when you get bored and just want to take your arduino powered RC car for a quick walk.
